This site's earliest incarnation was developed in winter of 2005; I spent my Christmas break with "HTML for Dummies" in my lap attempting to teach myself enough HTML to build myself a website. Needless to say, it was hideous. It was originally going to house my cosplay as well as a collection of Rurouni Kenshin essays I had written at the height of my Ruroken fandom (I'm still obscenely obsessed with it, but now it's more of a comfortable old shoe instead of my hot burning passionate lover). I still might get around to posting those one day. At anyrate, this site is now on it's... *counts* fourth or fifth incarnation.

You might be asking yourself, "Gee Shea, where are all these quotes from?" Or maybe you're not. Well, I'm going to tell you anyway. The character of Jaina Solo is the closest I have to an alter ego. She is a character I have grown up with and have intimately related to time and time again; as the daughter of Han Solo and Princess Leia, she has extremely large shoes to fill and the burden of the Skywalker legacy resting on her shoulders. One of my very favorite passages written about Jaina was in Destiny's Way by Walter John Williams:

"I name you the Sword of the Jedi. You are like tempered steel, purposeful and razor-keen. Always you shall be in the front rank, a burning brand to your enemies, a brilliant fire to your friends. Yours is a restless life, and never shall you know peace, though you shall be blessed for the peace that you bring to others. Take comfort in the fact that, though you stand tall and alone, others take shelter in the shadow that you cast."
