Seisouhen is TEH LAME. It TOTALLY goes against everything that is Rurouni Kenshin. Therefore, I pretend it doesn't exist. You may be asking yourself, "Gee, Jaina, if you hate Seisouhen so much, why did you cosplay from it?" Well, desperate times call for desperate measures. The costume I was supposed to wear to the 2008 Sakura Photoshoot was Hitokiri Battousai, but the wig I was using for it had an unfortunate meltdown and was unusable for the costume. However, I'll be damned if I miss the sakura the last year I'm in SoCal, and about the only thing I'm capable of making in a single night is a kimono, so... this was born. Even I can admit that Seisouhen on it's own really is a beautiful movie, and in reality, this costume was way more sakura-appropriate than Hitokiri Battousai. The resulting pictures were so gorgeous that I almost started liking Seisouhen. ALMOST.

P.S. Can I just sat that my Kenshin wig rawks? That's the very first wig I bought way back in 2004, and depsite the shoddy styling job it STILL pulls through for me when I need it to. Best $20 I ever spent.
