Misora Naomi from Death Note

Info. I love Death Note; I also love group cosplays! When I heard that my friends with Death Note costumes had plans to do a midnight photoshoot in a San Fransisco subway station during Fanime, I wanted to join the fun too! But I didn't have a Death Note costume. ;_;

The good thing about Death Note is that for the exception of Misa and the Shinigami, most of the costumes can be found in your closet. The same went for me when I remembered that I had a black leather jacket that would work well enough for Naomi Misora, the ill-fated former FBI agent/fiance of Raye Penber that was unlucky enough to cross paths with Light Yagami (;_; I really liked Naomi, too). Adding to the leather jacket, I grabbed a pair of jeans, borrowed a black turtleneck from my mom, begged my friend Sana-chan to let me borrow her Summoner Yuna boots, and yoinked my friend Solaria's AC Tifa wig. It was truly the epitome of a closet cosplay, but it worked well enough for the shoot and we got some pretty wicked photos out of it!
