Roger Smith from The Big O

Info. This was the usual 'me corralling G-Mal into cosplaying with me from the same series'; in this case, it was Big O. G-Mal is really lucky to be tall and skinny, because that fits a lot of male anime-type characters, and Roger Smith was no exception. Yuriy also has the Eastern European pale skin/dark hair look going for him, and that seemed to fit Roger's look well. Plus Roger is awesome, and since G-Mal is also awesome, it was awesome 2x.

Unfortunately, this costume falls under "24-hour cosplay" syndrome, meaning I made the costume in 24 hours or less. Everything was going great, and then at about 5:30 am the morning I was supposed to leave for ALA, I discovered that I had made the lining too short. At that point, I gave up all hope at making a perfect jacket and just tossed the rest of it together. It didn't look half bad, but the fabric I used didn't hold a very good press, so... meh. The wig is totally LOL-worthy, because the only thing I had available to me was a hidiously trashed Sasuke wig that Richii gave me to use, and I ended up turning it into something pretty decent looking (if I do say so myself)! Although a lot of people yelled "OBJECTION!" at him because the whole costume looked a little like Phoenix Wright LOL.

P.S. That's a tomato we carried around. Watch the show and you'll understand. Maybe. Or not.
