Hitachiin Kaoru from Ouran High School Host Club

Info. I binged on Ouran High School Host Club while I was on vacation in Germany, since there was nothing on TV that I could understand. It had been awhile since I had seen a shojo series that I liked (the previous being Fruits Basket, probably), and I found Ouran to be really enjoyable. Apparently so did the rest of the world, because 2006 was the year Ouran took over anime conventions! XD A bunch of my friends were already planning on doing Ouran costumes, and I didn't want me or G-Mal to skip out on the fun!

Mori was a fairy obvious choice for G-Mal, but I couldn't quite decide on who I wanted to do. Kyoya was actally a favorite character of mine early on in the series, but the Hitachiin twins were hysterical in their antics, and I thought it would be a lot of fun to be a twin for a day! I asked my friend Arkadia if she would be willing to be my Hikaru, as I thought we looked the most alike of all of our friends (same height, weight, body shape, eye color, etc.), and she agreed! With the help of our friend Richii, we styled a couple of crazy wigs that I thought turned out pretty fancy. The rest of our friends joined in on the fun, so we had a complete Host Club group! I altered the jackets for several of our group members, and added the stripes to everyone's ties, while our friend Jinyo was AWESOME and embroidered us all really gorgeous Ouran patches. Being twins with Arkadia was a BLAST!!! Having a whole Host Club group was really awesome as well, and we got tons of really great pictures. So much fun!
